Family fun at the Ohio City Games
When Theresa Gorski sets her sights on something, it happens. The energetic, enthusiastic and community-driven Gorski is the owner of Vision Yoga & Wellness on West 25th St. in Ohio City. Four years ago she had an idea to bring family-friendly, healthy fun to the community. And that is how the Ohio City Games came to be.
Now in its fourth year, the Ohio City Games are open to anyone but are most specifically designed for Ohio City and Tremont neighbors. Held at Wasmer Field on the Saint Ignatius High School campus, the Games will take place July 15 from noon to 4 p.m.
“This neighborhood is a great place for families and people of all ages,” says Gorski. “As a business owner and a home owner in Ohio City, I am committed to this community. The Games are a wonderful way for people to come together. We always have so much fun.”
Geared primarily toward children, the Games include an obstacle course, a dance party, soccer competitions, relay races, yoga and much more. Also on hand for the festivities will be America’s favorite superheroes—Batman, Superman, and Captain America will be there too!
The Games provide the opportunity for neighbors to get to know one another and are family-friendly.
“It’s great to be part of the Ohio City Games,” says Gorski. “Supporting health and wellness in this community is important to me. There is something for everyone and it makes for a fantastic day. I hope to meet even more new people this year.”
